theres a few quick and dirty reasons why your friends and family many have a hard time supporting positive change in your life
ESPECIALLY weight loss/ exercise
1. the mirror effect- if you do good and suceed , and they see success in you it means that they have to change , if they want to imporve..- no one likes dressing room mirrors
2. the earthquake effect, when you shake things up in your life, they fear those same shake ups in thier life too, dont say that wont happen, its inevitable.
3.the comfy sweats effect... see staying the same as you are , and not improving , is ultimately a challenge to them, the way you are is comfortable, like warm comfy old sweats or worn in jeans, change is hard , and its scary..
4. GUILT- if they have issues and you have issues its all cool cuz we all have issues together, like a band of compatriots, BUT if you deal with those issues, in this case WEIGHT/HEALTH then 1and 2 will sock them in the face regulalry,
and as family they cant get rid of you, they can ignore you tear you down and make you feel bad so that you have no contact with them , but ultimately they are still family,
friends grow up ,apart, and move on , its lifes evolution, with few exceptions , in 20 years you will most likely not have the same people around you, but that doesnt mean that they will be happy about it
