The government's food pyramid has it all wrong!!!
the only ones who need that much grain are herd animals!
You will notice a couple of food categories are a little bit different than the typical government recommendations
1. more vegetables and fruit, a plant based diet is healthier for you and the rest of the environment than focusing on meat and dairy
2. whole grains are significantly reduced
3.protein and dairy are significantly reduced
4.the oil and fat category has been removed completely
5. seeds and nuts are protein sources and would be included as such within a normal diet
6. added fats are not truly required as part of a normal diet, as long as you get your protein and vegetable intake from a variety of sources
(not all meat and lettuce)
